Peterson Home Care professionals work closely with physicians to deliver comprehensive, personal services in the home setting. Peterson Home Care is a not-for profit organization which accepts Medicare, commericial insurance, and private pay.
 

Who needs Home Care?

Every situation is unique and each patient needs a customized plan of care that will best meet individual medical and physical needs. Many of our patients are recovering from serious injury or illness and need in home assistance as they continue to recover, some need specialized medical care but are not ready to enter a nursing home; some need physical or occupational therapy. Regardless of age Home Care is designed to help each patient maintain, or regain, their highest level health and independence.

Who can make referrals?

If you or your loved one is in need of home health care services, please contact us at 830-257-3111 or talk to your physician and ask them to make a referral to Peterson home care services.

-Occupational Therapy
-Medication Management

All services are coordinated through an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and established under a plan of treatment by your physician. Diagnostic and laboratory services, as well as medical and surgical supplies may also be provided in conjunction with skilled care.

Goals

-Help patients regain function to the maximum level of their ability.
-Help patients and caregivers reach a higher level of function within the home through instruction and supervision.
-Maintain patients to be maintained in the home as long as feasible through the provision of nursing care and related health services.

To qualify for Medicare covered home care services:

-You must have an attending physician.
-You must require skilled care.
-You, or another indiviudual, must be able to assume responsibilty for your care in the absence of the home care staff.
-You must be homebound or require a taxing effort to leave the house.

Home care services are provided up to 7 days a week, with weekend visits scheduled according to patient need and with input from your physician. A nurse is on call after hours for support and guidance regarding your home care needs.
