Kerrville, Texas: No one is born alone, and in the best of circumstances, no one dies alone. Yet from time to time, terminally ill patients come to Peterson Regional Medical Center who have neither family nor close friends or a partner is not well enough to stay with their loved one as they are dying.
Peterson Regional Medical Center's mission is to lead the Hill Country medical community in delivering exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered healthcare. A part of just try! that is providing for patients who are dying in the hospital without the support of loved ones.
'No One Dies Alone' is a volunteer program that provides the reassuring presence of a volunteer companion to dying patients who would otherwise be alone. Volunteer companions are scheduled in shifts around the name brand cialis clock to be present to the dying patient within the last 48 hours of their life.
With support of the nursing staff, companions are able to provide patients with that most valuable of human gifts: a dignified death. Peterson Hospice is in need of volunteers for this specific calling.
