Patient satisfaction surveys are sent to a random cross section of patients after they are discharged. The survey is very comprehensive not only asking a predetermined set of questions, but also allowing for open and honest comments. These surveys are not returned to the hospital but go straight to the survey company for calculation and unbiased reporting.
