Peterson Regional Medical Center's Physical Therapists utilize advanced clinical decision making skills through the use of differential examination, goal setting, and intervention progression with the emphasis on evidence based practice in the management of individuals with painful movement disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal systems.  They utilize manual therapy (high velocity thrust techniques, mobilization of joint, soft tissue, and neural structures), exercise, and patient education to treat the symptoms and underlying cause of the painful conditions in order to restore normal function of the soft tissues and joints.  Our physical therapists emphasize restoration of normal joint mechanics and range of motion, and development of an individualized exercise and movement re-training program designed to promote correct postural alignment with proper body and extremity control.  By determining and treating the underlying cause of pain and joint dysfunction, our physical therapists assist patients in returning to activities of daily living, work, and sports with less pain and improved function.
