Our Wound Care Center provides state-of-the-art treatment for patients with wounds that won't heal. Medical Director Lori Gagnon, MD, leads a team of wound-care experts who provide conventional treatment options as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients whose wounds do not respond to standard therapies. |

WOMEN'S SERVICES & THE BABY PLACE |

The 14-bed Women's Health Center provides obstetrics and gynecological services in comfortable, serene surroundings. In addition to 11 pleasantly appointed regular patient rooms, we offer four specially designed suites that resemble spacious home bedrooms complete with designer decor, fresh flowers and sleeping space for family members, where mothers can labor, deliver and recover. Women's Services staff also offer childbirth, sibling education, infant nutrition and infant massage classes. 830-258-7444. The Baby Place provides our youngest citizens with all the comforts of home plus advanced technologies in a state-of-the-art Level II nursery. Level II nurseries are able to care for infants born as early as 32 weeks or greater as well as full-term infants needing additional monitoring before they go home. All of our nurses are certified in neonatal resuscitation. |

In our seven cutting-edge surgical suites, skilled specialists perform a full range of general operations as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery, oral surgery, laparoscopic surgeries, total hip and knee replacement, vascular surgeries and complete urology services. Our social services staff are here to assist patients while they are in the hospital and also help with discharge planning. Our staff act as referral or placement liaisons with specialized care options such as nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitative centers, home health services and hospices. For spiritual support, a full-time chaplain and volunteer chaplains are available on a 24-hour basis. 830-258-7629. |

Our rehabilitative services include physical, occupational and speech therapy for both hospitalized patients in our Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and those in the community at the ACC. The ACC rehab area includes a warm water pool as well as well-equipped exercise and physical therapy space. In addition, the ACC rehab team includes the region's only certified McKenzie Method physical therapists, specializing in the treatment of back and neck pain. Specialists at the ACC also offer pediatric therapy for children with developmental, speech, occupational or physical therapy needs. ARU: 830-258-7824. ACC: 830-258-7383.
